Examining the Dual Approaches to Autonomous Vehicles

Date/Time: Wednesday, September 25 at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm ET Webinar Description: This webinar focuses on the examination of two primary strategies or methodologies being employed in developing and commercializing autonomous vehicles, as well as the challenges these approaches face in the process of being successfully commercialized. The first approach is the so-called vision-based end-to-end learning approach, for example, FSD from Tesla. The other approach uses multiple types of sensors including LiDAR sensors and relies on HD maps from the LiDAR sensors to localize the vehicle, for example, Waymo’s approach. We will compare and examine the two approaches from several angles.
