How to start a chapter
Chapters are the heart of AUVSI, and provide opportunities for networking with other industry professionals, involvement in community activities, opportunities for STEM outreach, and more. If there is not a local AUVSI chapter in your area, you may start one. By forming a new chapter, you will have support from our strong network of over 35 chapters to help you get started. To create a new chapter, you must have at least 30 members in your area, along with the following:
- Chapter Application. This application provides an overview of the requirements to begin a new chapter, and also asks you to consider your goals for the chapter and its first year.
- Bylaws. It is up to each chapter to set their own bylaws, but you are welcome to use our sample bylaws to begin.
- Affiliation Agreement. Please sign and turn this in, along with your application and bylaws.
If you have any questions, please contact Scott Shtofman, Grassroots Advocacy & Chapter Manager.
