A full-service architectural, engineering, planning and surveying firm called Davis, Bowen & Friedel Inc. (DBF) has announced its new in-house UAS service.

DBF says that its new UAS program will provide “more efficient, safer and cost-effective” UAS-based aerial data collection, as areas of land can be scanned in a fraction of the time using the technology.

The firm adds that using a high precision, professional grade UAS to collect photogrammetric data will offer its clients “ample and unique possibilities,” including construction videos monitoring site progress, post disaster evaluations, and enhanced due diligence reports.

“The tools, techniques and methods we use to collect data are continually advancing and DBF is embracing that movement,” says Associate Eric Tolley, P.L.S.

“This new service will be an incredible benefit for our clients and our team. We are looking forward to some exciting results.”

Additionally, the UAS will provide more reliability, quality and accuracy of survey results, specifically, DBF notes. The technology will also facilitate less obstruction and intrusion to areas of land, while offering better access to hard to reach structures or complex topography sites that are unsafe for humans to perform investigations.

DBF’s UAS service will also provide instant data processing with enhanced aerial shots for precise assessments.
