Advanced Tactics’ Multicopter Completes First Flight Test

Advanced Tactics, a military and civilian vehicle technologies company, announced the first successful flight test of the unmanned quadcopter,AT Black Knight Transformer yesterday in Southern California. The UAS has a multicopter design capable of helicopter and automobile functions.
Black Knight Transformer is controlled and stabilized with propeller speed and has the ability to take off and land anywhere. Meant for casualty evacuation and cargo resupply missions, it also has pilot-optional capability.
The UAV has a maximum takeoff weight of 4,400 pounds and the modular automobile portion of the vehicle can be removed for more payload capacity with a boat hull for sea operations. It can be configured to the customers’ needs and the specific mission.
