Sierra Announces Affordable Infrared Camera

Sierra-Olympic Technologies Inc., supplier of advanced imaging solutions, announced the Viento 320, the first in a series of low-cost, uncooled microbolometer thermal cameras designed for unmanned vehicle imaging and other applications.
The camera is easy to integrate and features 320-by-240 pixel resolution, 17-micron pixel pitch, user-selectable National Television System Committee or Phase Alternating Line analog video, and simultaneous 14-bit/eight-bit camera link digital video outputs.
The Viento line will include standard connector and mechanical interfaces in addition to image contrast enhancement, an integrated normalization shutter and nine different lens options.
The camera can be controlled through RS-232 or USB.
