RE2 Robotics Supplies Manipulator Arms to iRobot

Today, Pittsburgh company RE2 Robotics announced it is supplying Massachusetts’ iRobot Corp. with its Small Lightweight Manipulator arms, which will be integrated onto iRobot’s 100 FirstLook robots.
The $910,000 order fulfills an iRobot U.S. Navy delivery that was announced in mid-August.
“RE2 is proud to provide iRobot and the U.S. Navy with the manipulator arm payload for their FirstLook robots,” says Jorgen Pedersen, president and CEO of RE2. “Our SLM arms are strong, yet lightweight, and are capable of performing manipulation and inspection tasks for a variety of missions.”
