Valeo, an automotive supplier, will kick off the Valeo Innovation Challenge where engineering students from around the world will compete to win €100,000 grand prize.
Students will have the opportunity to develop equipment that will make cars more intelligent by 2030. Teams will be comprised of two to five people and can present their project on the contest’s website so they can join forces with other teams if they think it will be useful for their innovation project.
The 20 teams will be given €5,000 to develop a model in a format of their choice, after which finalists will present their projects to the challenge jury, chaired by Valeo CEO Jacques Aschenbroich, at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The Valeo Innovation Challenge is part of Valeo’s innovation strategy, supported by the company’s annual research and development budget of over €1 billion.
