Ekso Bionics announced today that it sold three Ekso GT robotic exoskeletons to the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago for general neuro-rehabilitation of patients with stroke or other brain injuries.

The GT is the only robotic exoskeleton used in a clinical setting in VA systems. It is designed to supply varying amounts of power to each side of the body to help patients get moving faster and decreasing discharge times, according to a company press release.

In addition to the medical market, Ekso exoskeletons find uses in military, industrial and consumer markets to increase strength, mobility and endurance.
