AUVSI Speaks at the National Hurricane Conference
AUVSI attended and spoke to attendees at the National Hurricane Conference in Austin, TX. AUVSI provided an overview of the industry outlook and current activities regarding federal and state activities on UAS. Currently, first responders are able to use UAS to hover over a disaster scene moments after the winds have calmed down and then take photographs of damaged communities and provide timely and crucial information to professionals on the ground. Representatives from the insurance industry were also present as they have a significant interest in using UAS to expeditiously assess damage to property and process claims.
