AutonomouStuff, a supplier of autonomous services and products, and Spectrolab, a manufacturing company that provides space solar sells and panels for satellites and a subsidiary of the Boeing Co., announced in a press release that they have partnered to distribute the MEMS-based scanning laser system SpectroScan 3D.
“The SpectroScan 3D is the world's first reasonably priced MEMS-based scanning laser system,” said AutonomouStuff CEO Bobby Hambrick. “It scans with an eye-safe 1,550-nanometer laser in short-wave infrared operation, making it perfect for outdoor and indoor applications.”
The SpectroScan 3D lidar system includes 3-D visualization and PC configuration software for real-time ranging and 3-D modeling and can be used for robotic and autonomous applications.
