Micasense Partners With Delair-Tech to Target Precision Ag

Today, Micasense and Delair-Tech announced they had signed an agreement to integrate the Micasense RedEdge sensor onto Delair’s DT18 and DT26X UAS. The move will allow the companies to better serve the unmanned precision agriculture market, according to a press release.
The sensor measures blue, green, red, red edge and infrared light to determine the reflectance of a plant at those wavelengths. This provides information on the biophysical index so it can monitor the crop’s health.
The sensor samples at eight centimeters per pixel at 120 meters, or about 400 feet.
“We are happy to be a partner of Micasense. Their technology is the best we could find on the market for multispectral analysis, and Micansense confirmed the need for long-endurance UAV for the agriculture market,” says Benjamin Benharrosh, co founder and head of business development at Delair-Tech.
