Drone Aviation Corp. has delivered its first day/night video imaging package for its Blimp in a Box-100, Federal Aviation Administration-compliant aerostat system, for use in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance applications.

“The delivery of the advanced optics system for use with our BiB-100 is the first of its kind to a commercial department of transportation customer,” says Drone Aviation’s CEO, Felicia Hess. “Originally designed for our U.S. Army customers, the advanced optics package has significantly improved the operational capabilities of the BiB system for our commercial customer.”

The Jacksonville, Florida, surveillance and communications solutions company uses a tethering capability for safe operation in national airspace.
