Additionally, the update ensures compatibility with the latest version of X-Plane, enhanced geocaging capabilities, and advanced telemetry analysis tools. These innovations solidify Veronte’s position as a leader in autopilot systems, meeting the demands of UAS operations.
AUVSI Calls for Urgent FMS Reform to Strengthen Allied Access to U.S. Uncrewed & Autonomous Systems
In formal testimony submitted today to the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC), the Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) called for urgent reform of the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) process and outdated export control regimes.
As uncrewed and autonomous systems reshape the future of warfare and deterrence, the current export framework is struggling to keep pace. Delays and outdated restrictions are weakening defense cooperation and leaving strategic gaps that competitors like the People’s Republic of China (PRC) are eager to exploit with subsidized, unsecured alternatives.
Embention strengthens European innovation with ACTUS project collaboration
Embention, a leader in the design and manufacture of autopilots and avionics for autonomous vehicles, is proud to announce its key role in the ACTUS (Advanced Capabilities & Certification for Tactical UAV Systems) project, led by INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE) and funded by the EDF. This high-profile project aims to improve the capabilities and certification of European Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (T-RPAS), including the continuation of the LOTUS project, a key development in the EuropeanUAV sector.
Embention achieves ISO 27001 certifi cation and strengthens its commitment to data security
Alicante, 03/04/2025 - Embention, a leading designer and manufacturer of autopilots and avionics for autonomous vehicles, particularly UAS and eVTOLs, has achieved ISO 27001 certifi cation, reinforcing its commitment to the highest standards of information security and privacy.
The ISO/IEC 27001 standard provides best practices for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system. Embention has information systems that support all activities related to the design, development, manufacturing and support processes for unmanned autonomous vehicles (UAVs) and manned aircraft (eVTOL), ensuring the management of risks related to data security.
Autopilot hardware redundancy: essential for critical missions
Hardware redundancy in autopilots is an architecture that enhances the reliability and robustness of control systems in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). The design of a system with hardware redundancy ensures that the system will not have a single point of failure, and thus, ensures mission continuity. One of the key advantages of hardware redundancy in critical control systems is the ability to continue the mission under the same conditions, making it suitable for both fail-safe and fail-operational missions.
