McMinnville, OR – The Cascade Chapter of the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) today announced 11 Regional Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)/Robotic awards totaling $20,000.00. The institutions and programs receiving the awards in the Pacific Northwest include 4 Universities, 1 Community College, 2 Aviation Engineering-based High School programs and 4 Youth Robotics programs.
"Our Cascade Chapter Board of Directors believes that the efforts demonstrated by these organizations epitomize the study, experiences and applications that must occur to fully realize the potential of unmanned systems. The research, design, development and responsible employment of unmanned systems supported through these curricula are all consistent with the basic tenets of our Chapter’s unmanned system advocacy efforts. We are confident that each of these program awards will continue to advance conscientious initiatives within these organizations."
