CONTROP Precision Technologies Releases New System for USVs
CONTROP Precision Technologies Ltd. has sold its iSea-10U EO/IR Maritime system to the Special Marine Forces of several NATO countries. The iSea-10U EO/IR Maritime system will be installed on the USVs and Fast Patrol Boats for those countries.
“The iSea-10U opens up new opportunities for maritime customers operating small boats, due to the fact that it is a Navy-grade, high-quality product which is being offered at a commercial price, making it ideal for both naval and coastguard applications,” said CONTROP's Vice President of Marketing Johnny Carni.
Known as a “gyro-stabilized, three gimbal small maritime payload,” the iSea-10U runs on the company’s proprietary Electronics Box, which includes unique technologies that are usually founded on larger payloads. Some of the system’s capabilities include its ability to detect small boats and the ability to provide a solid, stabilized image for fast patrol boats and rigid-hulled inflatable boats through an uncooled thermal imaging camera with continuous optical zoom lens.
Carni added, “Following several rounds of trials, the iSea-10U was proven to be the most suitable EO/IR solution for USVs due to its outstanding gyro-stabilization, reliable performance, light weight and its very cost effective low price.”
