A 21-year-old male’s body was located 25 feet below surface at Watauga Lake in Elizabethton, Tennessee, by Deep Ocean Engineering’s remotely operated vehicle on Memorial Day.

The Triggerfish T4H, a ROV with a Kongsberg MS 1100 mini head sonar, was used by a rescue squad to pull the body, which was entangled in some brush.  The squad was able to operate from its pontoon stations as opposed to a land-based setup.

The Sullivan County Emergency Medical Services dive team was then able to retrieve the body in a successful search-and-rescue mission.
