Advancing Air Traffic Management with Ralph Tamburro

Ralph Tamburro, air traffic control expertise and significant work with the FAA and Port Authority: 31 years of FAA air traffic experience at the NY TRACON (Approach Control), holding various positions such as Air Traffic Controller, Traffic Management Coordinator, Supervisor, Operations Manager, and Officer.

He contributed to initiatives aimed at improving traffic flow in the New York area. 10.5 years with the Port Authority, focusing on airport operational improvements through advanced technology. He played a role in implementing M.A.R.S., the GBAS system (first certified in the U.S.), and expanding installations at JFK and LGA.

Co-lead on the Northeast Corridor workgroup, which worked on improving NY airspace, and participated in NextGen working groups covering Surface, Multiple Runway Operations, and Performance-Based Operations.
