Draganfly Innovations unveiled the Draganflyer X4-ES Ultra Portable Quadrotor UAS this week, which uses a new tool-free removable rotor, foldable landing gear and a new camera mount.
The “grab-and-go functionality” of the Draganfly eliminates the need for heavy transport cases for cameras, and the keyed rotors ensure installation is always successful, according to the company.
This UAS uses a ground control station with new capabilities such as “return to home, stare point, vision-based points of interest and navigation points of interest,” according to a company press release.
These capabilities allow the UAS to auto descend. It also eliminates the need for using a map and archiving navigation points for future reference.
The Draganflyer X4-ES is aimed at use in aerial imaging, public safety and energy services.
