RE2 Integrates Robotic Arm Onto Dragon Runner UGV
Yesterday, RE2 Inc. announced that it has developed a new robotic arm, called the DM4-A2, which will be outfitted onto QinetiQ North America’s Dragon Runner 10 Interoperable unmanned ground vehicle.
The arm has a four-degree-of-freedom manipulator and a two-finger tripper, which is attached to RE2’s end effector interface.
“RE2 is dedicated to developing interoperable technologies that easily integrate onto the industry’s leading robotic platforms,” says Jorgen Pedersen, president and CEO of RE2. “The integration of our new DM4-A2 robotic arm onto QinetiQ’s DR 10-I is an excellent example of an interoperable system that meets the military’s current need for a modular lightweight robot.”
The arm can also be outfitted onto the Advanced Explosive Ordnance Disposal Robotic System, or AEODRS.
