The eVTOL sector, commonly known as air taxis, is currently in a state of rapid growth. This technology requires a series of components to enable the flight of these vehicles while ensuring the necessary safety guarantees.
Market demands have led Embention to develop the Mission Computer project. This technology will be responsible for enabling the safe operation of eVTOL systems for commercial use. This project has been carried out with the financial support of the Generalitat Valenciana and the AVI (Valencian Agency of Innovation).

AUVSI New England UAS and AAM Summit: Industry Implications for Evolving Regulations
Last week, Max Rosen from AUVSI Headquarters attended AUVSI New England’s UAS and AAM Summit 2023. AUVSI New England is an active AUVSI Chapter that includes individuals and member companies all across the New England region.
Max participated in a panel discussion moderated by Jeffrey Vincent, Executive Director of the UAS Integration Office and a key FAA champion on UAS and AAM issues. He also had the opportunity to engage with several state-level aviation and aeronautics officials who took a keen interest in AUVSI’s Drone Prepared campaign. Below is his recap of top takeaways from the event:

Northwest UAV’S NW-230 Heavy-Fuel UAV Engine Commences Flight Operations
McMinnville, OR: Northwest UAV is proud to announce that its newest heavy-fuel UAV engine, the NW-230, has achieved first flight operations with an undisclosed customer. The flight was conducted on a hybrid vertical take-off and landing (HVTOL) UAV.
These successful flight operations elevate the NW-230 engine system to a Technical Readiness Level (TRL) of 7 for flying in an operational environment under end-user mission control.
Continued flight operations with the engine are on-going including active flight demonstrations being executed for end-users with real-world missions.
MADDOS VTOL 600h equipped with SP-210 TS ROS as hybrid solution from Sky Power International
The product portfolio of Polish UAS manufacturer MADDOS includes two VTOL solutions. In addition to the MADDOS VTOL 350e, which flies purely electrically, the VTOL 600h is also offered, which has been equipped with a hybrid propulsion concept. In addition to the four rotors for vertical take-off and landing, the VTOL 600h also has a tail drive for horizontal flight. Here, the Polish company relies on two-stroke technology from Germany. The SP-210 TS ROS carburetor engine from Sky Power International was selected, with an integrated starter and a generator for power production. The SP-210 TS ROS is a 2-cylinder engine that develops 17.1 hp (12.6 KW at 6000 rpm) from a displacement of 210 cc.
