Saskatoon, Canada, company Draganfly has released two new unmanned aircraft systems, the Draganflyer Shadow and Guardian, designed for use in industrial inspection, wildlife protection, agriculture, public safety and other commercial markets.
Both aircraft share the same multirotor design and frame, built to carry high-megapixel cameras and transmit live video feeds. However, the Guardian is equipped with higher-powered motors and a larger battery, enabling a 400-gram payload capacity versus the 300-gram maximum on the Shadow.
Both aircraft have a quick-swap battery capability, so their end-to-end flying times can be extended. They come with payload options for a two-axis brushless stabilized GoPro Hero 3+ and a one-axis brushless stabilized 20-megapixel Sony QX100 mount.
Each system comes with a Lil’ Draganflyer miniature quadrotor for new operators to flight train on.
