Cybersecurity and Supply Chain Certification Program for Uncrewed Ground Vehicles: Our Next Steps

We’re officially kicking off the next phase of progress toward a Cybersecurity and Supply Chain Certification Program for Uncrewed Ground Vehicles (UGVs). The program is part of AUVSI’s effort to move toward points of friction in the industry—the need for manufacturers and operators to meet evolving regulatory and security requirements—and offer solutions by creating a clear framework for UGV security verification.  In collaboration with Neya Systems and its parent company, Applied Research Associates (ARA), this critical initiative is aimed at strengthening trust, security, and operational resilience across the UGV industry.

This week, AUVSI and members of our Air Advocacy Committee met with the White House’s Office of Management and Budget to urge advancement of the draft Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) safety rule. Q&A: Blue UAS Refresh and Green UAS pathway for NDAA compliance verification
