This week, the U.S. House Energy & Commerce Committee held a crucial hearing to discuss the future of AVs, and AUVSI believe it is a step in the right direction. Every few years, a remarkable opportunity comes along in our democracy, whereby the people who are affected by certain regulations have the opportunity to weigh in on how those regulations are designed.  

The fifth month of the legislative session has ended, leaving just one more until the majority of States are out of session. This month saw Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Texas, and Vermont adjourn for their 2023 regular session, bringing the total number states that have adjourned to thirty. With eleven more scheduled to go out in June, by the end of next month there will only be nine states continuing to meet in their regular sessions.
